Kitowa incense is carefully handcrafted by the craftsman with technology that has been handed down for about over 400 years.

The incense stick is made from a mixture of Hinoki, Hiba and Kusunoki wood, in a natural way and without using dye. This well-balanced scent is made with natural woody oils and carefully selected incense materials.

Blended with Hiba oil produced in Aomori Prefecture.

Tonka bean is added to the profound scent of Hiba to express a well-rounded sweetness. By adding pine needles and tea trees to the base, a refreshing sense spreads throughout. ( Hiba: White-ceder leaf)

How to use
Light the tip of the incense stick, then blow out the flame to produce the delicate wisp of smoke. Place it in the burner, and your room will be quickly filled with a special fragrance.

Made in Japan

Kitowa

Created in 2018, KITOWA was developed using natural oils extracted from traditional Japanese wood and introduced for the first time as a home fragrance. This bold and innovative perfume, unique in the world, comes from a combination of rich and exotic scents.

Hinoki (Japanese cypress), Hiba (Aomori cypress) and Kusunoki (camphor tree) used for KITOWA, have all been chosen for their excellent durability and have been used for many years for the construction of wooden buildings.

The fragrances of these comforting woody scents have a noble presence, deeply rooted in the life of the Japanese. Very rarely introduced abroad, these trees are unfamiliar to people who do not live in Japan. KITOWA contributes to the creation of a new time that perpetuates the heritage of Japanese incense culture, with a 450 year old incense history.
